Mbahare Johannes Kekana



Mbahare Kekana’s rise to the highest political office of one of the fastest growing civic political movement Forum 4 Service Delivery (F4SD) was not an easy journey. Throughout the journey he demonstrated strengths which loosely translate to the meaning of his name.
Born in Ga-Seabe , in the then Bophuthatswana homelands, (demarcated to Mpumalanga after 1994) Mbahare Kekana begun his primary school in Ramabifi Primary in 1985 and went on to Ramoshidi High and completed matric in 1996.
In 1997 he enrolled to Technikon Of Northern Tranvaal now Tshwane University Of Technology to study Diploma in Human Resource Management and had to dropout due to financial problems. He then worked at Telkom as a Security Guard while studying through UNISA. In 2003 he moved to work at Department of Housing still as a Security Guard until he completed his Diploma 2005.
The same year he graduated and got a promotion as Admin Clerk at the very same department he worked for as a Security Guard.

In 2013 took part in the formation of Agang SA. After the demise of Agang he then founded Forum 4 Service Delivery after 2014 General Elections to tackle grassroots issues such as water, sanitation, housing, immigration laws and education. The party contested 2016 Local Government Election and won 31 seats, 29 North West, 1 Mpumalanga and 1 Free State.
Mbahare Kekana’s life is rooted in service. Echoing the words of Nelson Mandela that “Not everyone can be famous, but everyone can be remembered for living a memorable life because a memorable life is that of being of service to the other.”
He is currently registered for PhD with University Of KwaZulu Natal, thesis being a comparative study between South African youth and Namibian youth. He aims to develop a model that will attrack South African youth to vote.
Despite his busy schedule, Mbahare Kekana still find time to do charity work, donating school shoes to kids and mentoring generation of young leaders.
